I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask—did you ever find where the update or service came from? Sometimes bundled software or driver updaters can run in the background without clear info. I had something similar caused by a graphics driver auto-update. Maybe check Task Scheduler or the installed programs list for anything unfamiliar showing up recently?

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask if you ever sorted out the boot issue after installing the new SSD. One trick that helped me in a similar situation was checking the boot order in BIOS after cloning. Sometimes it still tries to boot from the old drive or a disconnected one. Did you manage to get Windows to load properly in the end?

I had a similar problem and it turned out my browser was blocking the redirection script. I fixed it by temporarily disabling my adblocker. Also, be careful with links like giftcardmall.org—it looks legit at first, but it's good to double-check URLs like that before entering any info. I learned that the hard way after getting a fake login prompt once.
